INSIDE OUT
I began this series of iPad drawings around the start of the coronavirus pandemic. During quarantine and beyond, I became interested in documenting the disorienting and flattening effect of social isolation — the experience of life mediated through screens and limited by social barriers. Often based on overlaid and selectively edited cell-phone photos, these images communicate both the solace and alienation of self-reliance.
